Forum procedures
Account abuse, or failure to abide by the conditions of use
In the case of non-members, you are the welcome guests of the PGAC. If you abuse, or misuse this hospitality your account will be withdrawn, forthwith.
In the case of PGAC members, you will firstly be informed of the situation, advised of details bringing about this action. THIS IS TO BE REGARDED AS A 'FIRST OFFICIAL WARNING'.
Depending on the severity/frequency of the incident, your account may be suspended for a time, and at the discretion of the Forum Manager, or senior member of Committee. THIS IS NOT A BAN, merely a withdrawal of forum privileges in an attempt to restore order to the forum as soon as possible.
Any attempts, (for whatever reason), to access the forums during any time of suspension will treated very seriously indeed, be they by creating new accounts, or by access through the account of another member. All occurrances will add a minimum of one week's suspension of account to each incident, for every incident, and in the case of gaining access through another members account, the same penalty will be levied against that member too.
An official warning will stay on file for a period of three months. If after this time we have had no further cause for complaint the warning has then expired.
If however during this time period the offending member is involved in/causes any unrest/trouble on the forum their forum account will be suspended. The period of suspension to be decided by the Forum Manager, in consultation with Senior Committee, and the Member notified in due course, (normally a first suspension would be for a period of 30 days).
If the member has any details/questions that they think will enhance/mitigate their actions they should forward this by email, or 'Private Message' to the Club Secretary within seven days of the incident. Clearly explaining their view of the incident.
No public discussion will be entered into, and any posts intended to highlight or publicise the incident will be removed immediately.
Any further transgressions of the rules may at the discretion of the Committee result in a full and final closure of forum access, and the revoking of club membership.
REMEMBER. Access to the club forum is a privilege, it is not a RIGHT of being a club member, and can be revoked, wholly, or singly, at any time deemed to be appropriate for the benefit of the club.
